Why the Cowboys will win tonight.

The Washington Redskins have been impressive to start the 2011 season. They haven't been 2-0 since Joe Gibbs' last season in 2007 and Rex Grossman has turned the "Sexy Rexy" switch back to "on." Through the first two games, it seems they've found the second coming of Laurence Taylor in Ryan Kerrigan. Albert Haynesworth's giant frame, ego and contract are off the books due to some remarkable front-office work.
The Redskins are on the rise, but they won't win tonight.
Miles Austin is out tonight, he of 233 yards receiving and 4 TD's through two weeks. Dez Bryant is returning, and that should help some, but he only practiced once last week (Saturday). The offensive line has had to go back to Rookie Bill Nagy at LG after Derrick Dockery started week 2 but suffered a broken leg. Felix Jones is banged up. Terence Newman returns but hasn't played a football game, pre-season or otherwise, since last year. Despite all of this, I believe the Cowboys win tonight.
Who knew that a cracked rib cage could bring about such an emotional turn around in a matter of minutes? As long as Romo is standing out there, and executing, no player on this team will give less than 100%. Robb Ryan's defense touts the league leader in sacks (DeMarcus Ware with 4) and tackles (Sean Lee with 23). They get their number one corner back from injury in Terrence Newman. This'll be the first time this season the Cowboys have opened a game with both starting cornerbacks. If the offensive line can keep Romo upright, and the defense continues where it left off in the second half of last weeks game, it will be tough for Washington to keep up. Especially with it being the home-opener in Dallas and the Redskins first time on the road this year. Two teams with a rich history, two second year head coaches that have the staunchest of support from their players, and the division lead on the line...all on Monday night. Can it get any sweeter?
